    “Volcanic Geology of the Dubois Area Adventure Trek” August 7 9-1pm

    Join Matthew Brueseke: Kansas State University on Friday, August 7, 9am-1pm “Volcanic Geology of the Dubois Area” for this Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek Series program.

    Matt will lead this trek up the Holmes Cave trail to see evidence of volcanic activity around Dubois and the upper Wind River basin. Participants will learn about the geological history of the region, including two distinct periods of volcanism, through exploration of igneous rock outcrops and views of some of the volcanoes.

    Fee $10 per person. Advanced registration required, no exceptions!
