The Riverton Museum will host Bart Ringer for a Wyoming Community Bank Discovery Speakers Series program January 16th at 6:30pm at the Riverton Museum.

Bart grew up in California, but developed a love of small Western towns visiting family in southeast Idaho. After serving in the Army, he attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. There, he met his wife, Marian, a Lander native, and the two eventually returned to Fremont County. Marian worked for Wyoming Indian School for 33 years, and Bart worked for Riverton Police Department for 37 years. Throughout his career, he worked as a Patrolman, Sergeant, Assistant Chief, and School Resource Officer.

Bart's recently published book, Routine Patrol: Memoirs of a Small-Town Cop is a collection of some of his experiences - from mundane to downright zany - as a police officer in Riverton. Join us at the Museum on January 16, at 6:30 PM for a ride-a-long as Officer Ringer takes us through some of Riverton's off the beaten path history!
